TAJWEED IN DEPTH

STEP 3.2 | Relying on Allah and seeking His help

Some of the acts that lead to an accepted dua'a (Cont'd):

THE BEST DUA'A

The best dua'a is the dua'a that is revealed in the noble qur'aan and the pure sunnah. Allah says:

9. Verily, This Qur'an guides to that which is Most just and Right...

(Surat Al-Israa vs. 9)

And He said:

82. and we send down from the Qur'âan that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism and act on it)...

(Surat Al-Israa vs. 82)

And He said:

31. Say (O Muhammad to mankind): "If You (really) love Allâh Then follow Me (i.e. Accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur'ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you of your sins. and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(Surat Aal-Imraan vs. 31)

SOME OF THE DUA'A FOUND IN THE QUR'AAN

"My Rabb! increase Me In knowledge."

(Surat Taha vs. 114)

"Our Rabb! in You alone we put our trust, and to You alone we turn in repentance, and to You alone is (our) final return."

(Surat Mumtahinah vs. 4)

"O my Rabb! Open for me my chest* And ease my task for me * And loosen the knot from my tongue * That they understand my speech."

(Surat Taha vs. 25 - 28)

"Our Rabb! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!"

(Surat Al-Kahf vs. 10)

SOME OF THE DUA'A FOUND IN THE SUNNAH

"O Allah! Guide me and protect me"

(Muslim, 2725)

"O Allah the mover of hearts! Move our hearts towards Your obedience."

(Muslim, 2654)

"O my rabb! help me and do not help against me, give me victory and do not give victory against(over) me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and make guidance easy for me, and help me against whoever transgressed against me. O my rabb! make me for You thankful and grateful, remember You, fear You, obedient to You, make me turn unto You in repentance and seeking nearness. O my rabb! accept my repentance, and wash my inside, answer my supplications, make firm my claim, protect and direct my tongue, guide my heart and remove the hatred in my chest."

(Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3551)

"O Allah! I seek refuge with You from inability and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, senility and the punishment of the grave. O Allah! give my soul its piety, and purify it for You are the best of purifiers, You are its guardian and master. O Allah! I seek refuge with You from knowledge that is not beneficial, from a heart that does not fear You, from a soul that is not satisfied and from a supplication that is not answered."

(Muslim, 2722)

We ask Allah to increase us all in Iman and make us from those who remember Him much and supplicate often, ameen.
